Join us for a screening of the new film SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL at THE COLORADO ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL February 21-23, 2025 – the premier environmental film festival between the two coasts, annually screening the world’s best environmental films in beautiful Colorado! Through our annual festival, CEFF celebrates the power of film to inspire, educate, and motivate audiences to protect and preserve our environment. Founded by a dedicated and passionate core group of environmentally-minded educators, filmmakers, and supporters, CEFF is Colorado’s first and only international film festival that is hyper-focused on environmental themes.

January 19th @ 2pm – We are pleased to announce that the will be showing the award-winning film “Small is Beautiful”. It is open to the public and free. Members of the Sonoma Valley Next 100 team will be there to discuss the situation at SDC as well as the filmmaker, Carolyn M. Scott.

PALO ALTO SENSIBLE ZONING FOR LOCAL CONTROL OF ZONING LAWS sill screen SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL on March 1st at their Town Hall. The title of the Town Hall is ‘Wake Up California’ as an introduction to the new organization Amy Kalish who founded the nonprofit will host the event.

“Small is Beautiful,” a thought-provoking documentary that delves into the challenges of urban sprawl in the valley of the moon. The short documentary film followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker and local leaders discussing the challenges facing the urbanization of California as seen through the lens of a rural community in Sonoma, California. The Sonoma 100 Year project is sponsoring the film screening and they will discuss their vision for the SDC site.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL was selected for the 20th annual 2024 Global Peace Film Festival – Free for All Shorts Program – Global Peace Film Festival – beginning on September 22nd until Sept 29th.
